 We are pleased to present Mr. O’Neil Grant, the Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Employers Federation (JEF). He constantly expresses that without there being employers there can be no employees and vice versa and so his work with JEF will be to create workplace harmony in line with the objects of JEF.

Before becoming JEF’s CEO, Mr Grant was the 12th President of the Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA) and served between June 2011 to May 2023. Prior to assuming that role. Mr. Grant was Honorary Treasurer to the JCSA, a position he held for seven (7) years (2004 – 2011).

He is a Jamaica College alumnus where he excelled in track and field. O’Neil is a trained Accountant, Auditor and Financial Analyst with over Thirty-Four (34) years of experience both in the private and public sectors. 

A consummate professional with high ambitions, Mr. Grant has certifications in Legal Administration, General Management, and Accounting and holds an Executive MBA from the Mona School of Business and Management UWI, Mona where he focussed on International Marketing and Export Strategy.

He has been affiliated with several institutions where he served on their Boards; Chairman of the First Heritage Cooperative Credit Union Limited, Chairman of FHC Foundation (2020), Director of FHC Investments Limited, 2nd Vice President of the Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League, Director of the National Housing Trust, Director/Secretary of the JCSA Limited, Chairman of the JCS Housing Company, Director of the Consumer Affairs and Fair-Trading Commissions are just a mentioned few.

Mr Grant has extensive experience in public administration and negotiations and has led and participated in several fora locally, regionally and internationally including at the International Labour Conference.

Mr. Grant was awarded the Oder of Distinction Officer Class for his work to the Trade Union movement and the Public Sector.

He is relishing his new role at JEF and is on a journey of creating value for employers and the people they employ. 

Mr. Grant is married to Shernette and is the father of four children.
